This is our time! We’re stronger when we work together to lift other women up. Evolve is creating the list we've been waiting for -- the first-ever 40 Over 40 list! We're curating profiles of women who have or are in the process of reinventing their careers in their 40s, 50, 60s and beyond. We're thrilled to share these stories of reinvention - women returning to work, pivoting careers or launching new ventures!
What is the current focus of your career or - if you are in transition at this time - your area of professional interest?
World domination. Growing my business into something with passive income, helping more people find their personality brand and maintaining the fun.
What prompted your career reinvention?
Not wanting to be an order taker. Wanting to be my own boss. Wanting to choose the types of clients I worked with. Knowing I was unemployable. Knowing I was meant for more.
What's the best thing about midlife career change?
Not giving AF. Having the confidence to ask for more and get it. Finding my voice and helping others find theirs. Finding what I was meant to do. Having control over my own destiny.
What's the biggest challenge?
Taking time off. Not working all the time and setting guidelines. Creating systems and processes that work. Always nurturing potential leads. Always wanting more.
What's your personal mantra or mission? Why? Why do it if it isn't fun or you can't learn from it. I believe in curiosity at its core but also think everything we do can be fun, even if it's hard. To me learning and growing is vital to being a better human.
